Halawa Waxing in Abuja

Halawa waxing in Abuja: the gentler traditional method

Halawa is a sugar-based paste applied warm and worked in the direction of hair growth. It grips hair rather than skin, which makes it noticeably gentler than strip wax and better suited to sensitive areas. Fully natural, water-soluble, and the method most guests prefer for intimate waxing.

Every halawa waxing is carried out by a trained therapist in a private treatment room at either our Jabi or Gwarinpa branch, both within easy reach of Wuse, Maitama, Utako and the Central Business District. We assess you before we begin and will recommend a different treatment if this is not the right fit.

Your appointment

What happens during your halawa waxing

01

Consultation

We ask what you want from the hour, and check for anything we should know about. Pressure is agreed before we begin.
02

Settling in

A private suite, robes and fresh towels laid out. Arriving ten minutes early is what keeps this part unhurried.
03

The hour

The warm paste is worked over the area and lifted in the direction of growth, which is why it pulls less on the skin.
04

Afterwards

Take your time getting up. We mention anything we noticed and suggest a rhythm worth booking at.
Why guests come back

The standard does not slip between visits

Most spas are only as good as the therapist you happen to be given that day. We built a review process specifically so that is not true here.

Twenty-eight members of our team across Jabi and Gwarinpa took part in our most recent internal service review. Every therapist sits down, reviews their own performance scores and talks through where the gaps are so the person treating you has been assessed, and knows it.

When the review finds something slipping, it is given an owner and a deadline, and the following review checks whether it actually closed. That is the reason a treatment at Gwarinpa should feel like a treatment at Jabi.

Reviewed, not assumed

Performance is assessed and discussed in person across both branches, not left to chance or to whoever is on shift.

Fixed on a deadline

Every gap the review finds gets an owner and a date. The next review checks it closed rather than quietly moving on.

Checked from the outside

We send our own team to experience treatments at other Abuja spas and report back candidly so we find our blind spots before you do.
